Turn

On the turning courses, most of the work takes place at the turning table. We step-by-step go through the stages of turning, from clay to the finished product, and then practice different shapes, large and small. As a participant, you have your own turntable with associated tools throughout the course. You have access to a range of engobes (clay colours), oxides and my own glazes. We work with stoneware clay that is fired at 1250 degrees. All items are therefore resistant to daily wear and tear as well as dishwasher, microwave and oven. After each course, we have a joint exhibition.

Roll, build and sculpt

In the rolling and construction studio, you can work with various construction techniques, such as rolling, ringing, thumbing and sculpture. Patterns and models are created using molds and tools. We do not rotate on these courses. The course is for those who have prior knowledge and want to develop further by working independently. I am in the room, but you need to be able to work on your own and together with course colleagues. Of course, you can also have equivalent experience of working with clay from elsewhere.
