Continuation, Wednesdays, start v.2

Dates : 10/1, 17/1, 24/1, 31/1, 7/2, 14/2 and 21/2 (21 hours in total, the last opportunity is glazing). For temporary cancellations, there is the "exchange bank" where participants can exchange seats with each other and make up for missed opportunities if space is available during the current course.

For who? The course is suitable for those who have little experience and want to develop further. On this course you should have some prior knowledge of the various basics of turning and how to center the clay. This means that we will not go through tools, centering and mission, but proceed with other elements. I show new parts each time and you then practice based on your level. My courses are for adults (16+).

Course content: Demonstration and practical exercises of various steps in turning. We try different techniques such as claw turning, barrel turning, closed shapes and compound shapes. You work at your own level with supervision. After the first firing, we go through glazing and different glazing techniques. When the course is finished, finished works are picked up within 2-3 weeks. At the end of the course, we have a collective exhibition where friends and acquaintances can come and admire the results.

All participants have access to their own turning disc, turning tools, apron and shelves for storing items and accessories throughout the course. Coffee/tea is available on my courses. We also have a joint course blog and a website with instructional videos and inspiration.

Material cost is added with SEK 100/kg of clay, which includes colours, glazes and two firings. The material consumption per participant usually varies greatly, and therefore I have chosen to include that cost outside the course fee. A benchmark can be that you get rid of 5-6 kg in one course.

Registration: You register by paying the course fee. Before the start of the course, you will receive an invitation by email. Material costs are paid after completion of the course. Right of withdrawal with full refund of the course fee is valid for 14 days from the date of payment. If you subsequently wish to cancel your place, the course fee will be refunded minus a cancellation fee of SEK 500. In case of cancellation later than 14 days before the actual start of the course, no refund of the course fee will be received. A course place may be changed or transferred in consultation with me.
